My friend Liz and I returned this morning form Las Vegas, after an overnight flight that left in the middle of a wind storm.  The wind aside, the weather there was a balmy 65 degrees or higher for our time there. So warm, so sunny, so nice. Sigh. A nice change from our Canadian snow. We were lucky on Saturday morning, and left just  before flights were cancelled due to increasing bad weather.

We did a lot of walking- probably about 5 miles or so a day. My blisters now have their own blisters, and I think I might have a stress fracture in my right foot, but it was worth it. There is so much to see! We did try the penny slot machines a bit, and won a few dollars, but that was the extent of our gambling.

Grand Canyon was the highlight of the trip. There are no words to describe the experience. If you haven't gone, GO THERE at some point in your life. I took many pictures, and got some good video footage as well.

We also found some very good chocolate, between Ethel M and Ghirardelli. After all, it is important to eat your vegetables............

Back to work tomorrow, but I will be doing so with a bit of a tan, and a feeling of relaxation that was missing before I left.  Since I have been up for the majority of the past 36 hours, I will be collapsing soon into bed for the night. Pleasant dreams to all.
